Be the Church: Ten Shifts Toward Kingdom Living:
Instead of coming to church, be the church
Let your presence be felt in kitchens, sidewalks, and quiet conversations
Instead of serving in the church, serve the community
Bring dignity and care to places that rarely see it
Instead of waiting for the Kingdom, strive for the Kingdom come
Live the values of heaven here and now: justice, mercy, love
Instead of attending a service, become a servant
Let worship spill into acts of kindness and compassion
Instead of inviting people to church, invite them into your life
Faith is most powerful when it’s personal and shared
Instead of preserving tradition, embody transformation
Honor the past by making space for new voices and stories
Instead of watching ministry happen, step into ministry
Your hands, your heart, your story: they matter
Instead of asking what’s in it for me, ask who needs me today
And show up with presence
Instead of building programs, build relationships
That’s where belonging begins
Instead of hoping someone will help, be the help
You might be the answer to someone’s quiet prayer
